"Closed", "Postponed", "Cancelled" are the words we hear and read all the time these days. And, I'm talking about very important international activities. Activities that give sense to the life of billions of people around the globe.
Activities stopped by Coronavirus
Allow me to mentioned some of the victims of COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis:
- Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020
- Coppa America 2020
- Formula 1 World Championship
- Various marathons in different countries of the world
- Various World Tours from Pop Stars (Dua Lipa's is the last one canceled)
- Various World Premiers of new Hollywood Movies (f.e. Mulan, etc)
- UEFA Champions League
- Nations League
- NBA
- Football National Leagues in various countries
- Religious Ceremonies
In addition to all of these social activities, all bars, hotels, restaurants, and other entertainment businesses are closed as well. Even wedding or funeral ceremonies with many people are not allowed.
The only still remaining operative is the kind of businesses that operate or could shift their activity into an online and delivery operation. And, of course, food supplies businesses and pharmacies, police and hospitals.

Life in Coronavirus Time
Life is pretty simple right now. The focus is only on basic needs. The rest should be waiting for when the crisis will be over. Oh yeah, the $1 million question: When life is going to be normal again?
I only hear experts about this query. Many of them, the ones I call optimists, think the isolation period should last around 5 - 6 weeks. Some others speak for 4 - 6 months, and I hate hearing such a thing 😡😷. Most health experts think COVID-19 will be back in September for the Northern Hemisphere's countries.
In other words, 2020 will the a year full of uncertainties. All plans made will remain hanging on the air, waiting for the situation to turn normal. At best all 2020 plans will be modified to fit with the COVID-19 situation and its consequences.
I believe we should remain positive and optimistic. COVID-19 pandemic crisis will come to an end soon. Each of us can give a helpful contribution by following the rules of social distancing and personal hygiene. Let's stay in our houses to break the chain of infection spread. Lack of physical contact is the best solution for reducing the longevity of the coronavirus crisis.
