This is the Woman that left Earth for 329 days

Left earth on March 14, 2018, Nasa Astronaut Christina Koch is expected to arrive back on Thursday, February 6. She is the first woman that spent 329 days out on a single spaceflight. 

Christina Koch, with the profession flight engineer, became part of this mission together with three other astronauts (two men and a woman). In their historic trip to the station, they have orbited the Earth 5,248 times. She conducted six spacewalks and spent a total of 42 hours and 15 minutes outside the station, the NASA release said.


Apart from the record for the longest spaceflight by a female astronaut, Christina and her colleague Jesicca Meir conducted the first all-female spacewalk outside the International Space Station (October 2019). Definitely, a woman to be admired for her courage and her achievements. I loved the message she gave to young girls: 

 "Do what scares you. Everyone should think about what intrigues them and what draws them in. Those things can kind of be scary a little bit, but they usually mean that you're interested. And if it's just outside what you think is attainable for you and you reach it, it really pays off dividends in more ways than one. It can be rewarding for you personally, and it usually means that you're giving something back to the world in the maximum way possible."


Koch said she hopes the record for the longest spaceflight by a female astronaut will be exceeded again as soon as possible because it means "we're continuing to push those boundaries."
