This is the Fastest Way to be Part of UN Database

This page appeared yesterday at the UN website. And, it was not done by UN staff, but from a hacker organization called Anonymous.

It's obvious that the international hacktivist group this time was supporting the desire of Taiwan to be independent again and to be recognized by the UN Organization. And, if the official way is long and difficult, the virtual way could be much easier.

Lots of reactions on social networks for this intrusion on the UN website. Many people liked the way the Taiwan page was composed of:
  • The telltale emblem for Anonymous
  • The words "TAIWAN NUMBAH WANNNN!!"
  • The Taiwan flag
  • The party emblem of the Kuomintang (KMT)
  • The green, pro-Taiwan independence banner.
... and all these symbols placed on a black background.

Other people liked the way activists stand for their country and make public their aspirations for independence. On the other side, other people expressed their surprise why the UN staff has not been able to delete the page yet. Apparently, removing the publications of Anonymous appear to be as difficult as to become officially UN member.

I must admit it is an original idea and I would not be surprised if tomorrow we could see another page on the UN website proclaiming Kosovo membership 😄.
