This is a Funny Aftereffect of Frequent Hand Washing

The frequent and proper handwashing is one of the symbols of the COVID-19 Pandemic crisis. And, I'm sure the industry of soap is blooming in this period. Almost every person on earth is washing hands thoroughly and more frequently.

But, what happened in a Florida Zoo was very funny. One of the female orangutans, Sandra, 34 years old has started to wash her hands for 20 seconds after watching her caretakes doing so. Isn't it funny guys? I laughed so much when I saw the video. Unfortunately, the owners of the video removed it, so I'm not able to show it to you.

But, you can imagine a big orangutan sitting on the floor with a bar of soap in hand. She uses a washbowl to wash her hands 😂. While we are struggling to teach our little children to properly wash their hands, the lady orangutan here, learned it in an autodidact way. 😆

The situation today with Coronavirus Crisis

This is a funny moment in a very tragic day of coronavirus crisis. 5,663 people died today from the infection, and 1/5 of them were in France 😢. The number of infected people around the world is over 1 million people now, and the crisis has not reached its pick yet. The total number of deaths so far: 52.855 people. RIP

The 'Poor' Penguins in the Closed Aquarium are Feeling Lonely

This photo was taken at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, USA before the management took the decision to close it for visitors. The cause of closure? The terrible COVID-19! You can see how friendly are penguins in this zoo with their friends, humans.

But, in these unusual times, they really miss the company of their friendly visitors. So, what do you think they are doing to release their stress? Three penguins, Wellington, Edward, and Annie went out on a site tour visiting aquarium facility. Videos posted on Twitter by the aquarium staff are fantastic. (penguins in the lobby area, Edward and Annie at Sheed's rotunda)

Penguins seem to be the most fantastic visitors ever entered the premises. They were very curious to see other animals sheltered at the Shedd Aquarium. And, felt so comfortable walking around a place they've never seen before. They were just adorable! 😍

Big applause to Shedd Aquarium staff for being so creative in helping animals not feel lonely these days. At the same time, they are offering online shows in their social networks for people to see their admired animals live. A fantastic initiative to give some satisfaction to children and their families in the difficult days of coronavirus isolation. Well done! 👏👏👏

Woman found the Missing Dog Three Years Later

Lost her girl-dog, Hazel, in 2017 and surprisingly was able to find her again due to a beer can advertisement. The unusual story happened in the USA only one week before.
The golden-terrier mix disappeared while she was leashed in Monica Mathis' yard in Iowa in May 2017. Despite Monica's search efforts, Hazel was never found. When Ms. Mathis moved to St Paul, Minnesota soon after Hazel's disappearance, she had abandoned hope of ever finding her pet.
Somehow, Hazel had made her way some 1,300 miles down south to Bradenton, a town in Manatee County, Florida. When she was brought to the county animal shelter, the staff tried to use her microchip to locate her owner, but the contact information was out of date.
At the time, Motorworks Brewing, a local company, had partnered with the shelter to help dogs find homes by putting their faces on a four-pack of cold ones. The beer cans mentioned as "beer dogs"  made headlines and were featured on the popular daytime TV program the Ellen DeGeneres Show. And, recently, Monica saw a familiar face starring out from a pint pictured on her Facebook account.
"This is my dog," she wrote on the brewery's post on 24 January.
The shelter then asked Ms. Mathis to share proof that the golden-terrier mix was hers, including veterinary records and photographs. When everything was set straight a few days later, the shelter announced that Hazel was going home. The Friends of Manatee County Animal Services nonprofit will send Hazel home later this month, just in time to celebrate her seventh birthday, after she obtains a health certificate.
Fortunately, a happy end story, that has surprised both the animal shelter and the brewery company. Even though they jointly participated in the "Beer Dogs" campaign, they would not believe such an initiative could have such an impact in reality. And all these thanks to social networks that have made the world smaller and communication faster.
